    Valusource Pro File Not Matching

Sometimes due to an unexpected shutdown, save etc. the file format and extension can become lost and corrupted. However, there is an easy fix that anybody can do.

    Step 1

When you see this error message below. Go to wherever your file might be saved at. For me that is in my documents folder.

    Step 2

The next step before fixing the file is making sure you can see extensions for known file types.

    Step 3

You need to now rename your VSP file to .XLSB as seen below which will allow you to open our files in excel directly.

    Step 4

Once you have the file open the next step is to do a save as and rename the file. I recommend choosing a different name or do something like “Company” Copy. This is to ensure that you still have to original in case something drastic happens.

    Step 5

The last and final step is to rename the file extension back from .XLSB to .VSP to return to the Valusource format. Go ahead and try and open this new file and your issue should have gone away.
