Use Microsoft Word’s “Show/Hide ¶” button to manage line breaks in Word

Getting the formatting right while compiling reports in Word can be very frustrating. Word’s “Show/Hide ¶” button is the answer to layout perfection.

The “Show/Hide ¶” button can be found in the “Paragraph Settings” toolbar in the “Home” tab and looks like a ¶ symbol.

After clicking on the ¶ symbol, you’ll notice that the symbol appears on the page indicating line breaks in your document. Now you can easily continue editing the document. To remove the symbol, click on the same “Show/Hide ¶” button.
