How to See the Version Number of a File

Only attempt the below if you are familiar with file extensions etc.

Step 1

Change the file extension of a ValuSource analysis file from .vsp to the excel format of .xlsb.

Step 2

Once you have this changed open up the file and turn on sheet tabs via excel options.

Step 3

Once sheet tabs are on browse to the VSProperties Tab.

Step 4

Once there, you will see in cell A2 the version number of the current file. In the screenshot below, the current file is 8.0.22

Step 5

Once you know the version number you can rename the file extension to .vsp
